The magic makers for your gut:

Kefir/Yogurt

The good bacteria and probiotics in yogurt and especially kefir help fight any bad microbes in your digestive system. Kefir also carries 3 times more probiotics than yogurt, so it does wonders in the gut department. 

Bananas

High in potassium and magnesium, bananas help reduce inflammation and calm bacterial infection. 


Kale

kale contains glucosinolates, which when broken down by microbes, release substances that reduce inflammation. Not to mention, kale is also high in Vitamins K, A, and C, as well as folate.

Ginger

Used in natural medicine for centuries, ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory, fighting off bad bacteria and creating a liveable environment for good bacteria. 

INGREDIENTS

  • ¾ cup plain whole-milk kefir 
  • ¼ cup non-dairy milk 
  • 1 ripe banana (chopped)
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 1 leaf or 2 kale chopped
  • 1 teaspoon to 2 fresh ginger peeled and grated

OPTIONAL ADD-INS:

  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 4 leaves fresh mint
  • 2 teaspoons green tea matcha powder
